Field Service Engineer

FULL-TIME POSITION

Department: Engineering
DTB Systems is looking to fill positions for full-time Installation Engineer in its Sioux Falls area. Specializing in the installation, service and support of High Tech Life Safety Solutions.

Solutions include:
Wired and wireless Nurse Call, (RTLS) Real Time Locating solutions, Mobile device integration, low-voltage network cabling, SIP phone solutions, server-based analytics and reporting, access control and IP based paging.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Remote and onsite support of Life Safety solutions

• Equipment installations, repair or replacement

• Functional testing and training of installed equipment

• Review drawings and perform site surveys for related solutions

• Professional communications and leadership skills

• Site start-up support of integrated systems

• Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills of system issues

• Develop and evaluate alternative system solutions that meet stated requirements

• Experience successfully interacting and working with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in Hospitals, Clinics and Long-Term Care environments

• Must be able to work on a ladder, lift, push and/or pull 50 pounds or more, stand for extended periods, and be able to bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods.

• Have solid verbal and written communications skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail and be willing and able to learn innovative technologies quickly

Education and/or Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in security and/or low voltage industries

• Must have basic computer knowledge (word-processing, spreadsheets, and Windows)

• Ideal candidate will have previous wiring or data experience (Audio Installer, Network Installer, Cable Installer, etc.)
